3 weeks!

Let's see what I need to update on!  Austin is growing really quickly and filling out quite nicely.  He is still in newborn to 3 months clothes and size 1 diapers.  He is starting to smile more and really focuses on Mommy and Daddy's face.  He is really sweet!  He is also sleeping 3 to 4 hours between feedings at night, which is so nice!  Daddy still doesn't wake up for the nightly feedings, but that is ok! :)  I mean he sleeps so soundly!  Recently, our cat Simba was playing with a balloon downstairs at around 3 a.m.  He ended up knocking the high chair over.  I heard the crash and told Scott.  He opened his eyes and said "Ok" I was worried that someone was trying to break in our house, but Scott was not too worried because he went right back to sleep! We are still laughing about that!

Wow!  My baby is 3 weeks old this week!  We had lots of adventures this week too.

(June 4) Monday- Grandma Fairbairn came to visit and we went shopping.  Austin was such a trooper and only had to be fed once.  That was an adventure for sure.  We were at Kohl's spending my gift card from Grandma and Aunt Maryjo.  Austin decided that picking out a dress for Mommy for his baptism next weekend was too much and he was hungry.  So we headed to the nearest fitting room to nurse.  The first room we tried has a small triangle seat and was sooooo uncomfortable for both of us.  We had to move.  It is an interesting adjustment for shopping.  You are really on a time limit and not your own... your are on baby time!  So worth it though!  We also bought Scott's first father's day present!  I am so excited to give it to him next Sunday...  he is going to love it!  He was a little tired from all the shopping!

(June 5) Tuesday- FIELD DAY!!  Austin and I walked up to school to see my other kiddos at field day.  We dressed in red, the color for second grade.  We enjoyed watching all the activities.  Austin slept the whole time, but the kids loved him!  :)  He is such a celebrity.  He was even the mascot for Engemann's Crew for the tug of war... we ended up winning for the second grade.  Jude thought that Austin would be able to help with tug of war by tying his stroller to the rope.  Let's just say that he watched from the side!

(June 6) Wednesday-  Austin and I enjoyed a nice mile walk so I could mail a letter.  We even took Mickey with us.  It was a little rough at first because Mickey likes to smell and go all over.  He learned quick when the stroller hit him a few times.  After getting settled, we enjoyed our walk.

We also did a fun photo shoot!  He is Daddy's Rock Star and future drummer.  We also took a few for hsi upcoming baptism.

A giraffe that Daddy got when Mommy was first pregnant!

(June 7) Thursday- Grandma and Grandpa Fairbairn came to visit!  Grandpa was helping with leveling the spot where a tree used to be to help prepare so Daddy can make a patio soon.  Austin wore a really cute shirt that I got from one of my students.  It said, "Dirt Makes me Cuter!"  So appropriate.  Austin even smiled when he was asked if he wanted to play with the power tools!  :)  He will have so much fun with Daddy when he gets older. Mommy bought Austin a cool lion pillow.  It is really nice and he can lounge in it.  Daddy likes to lay on it too when he is watching tv.

A happy boy!  :)
